Taking place every Saturday and Sunday in September from 1:00–4:00 pm on the Celebration Lawn, Blooms & Tunes promises a relaxed afternoon of live jazz and blues matched with delicious picnic bites. Across the four weeks, you will be able to treat your ears to live gypsy jazz, world and blues music from a range of talented local artists. Australian-Fijian singer Andrea Kirwin and the Yamanui Social Club will kick off the celebrations on Saturday September 5, followed by an afternoon of sweet melodies from Ingrid James Ensemble on Sunday September 6. The following weekends will be filled with beats from Cigany Weaver, CC the Cat, Soulergy, Blues Arcadia, Mzaza and many more.
The parkland’s leafy eatery, The Garden Room Café will be curating jam-packed picnic hampers, which can be matched with a BYO tipple of choice. Guaranteed to tantalise tastebuds, the baskets are full to the brim with a mouth-watering collection of fresh fare, including delicious crackers, home-made dips, cured deli meats and farmhouse cheeses to snack on – sounds right up our alley! If you want to take your afternoon in the sun to the next level, book a VIP picnic space with your hamper to nab the best (and cutest) spot on the lawn. These spots come complete with first-class stage views and premium service – there are only 25 spaces available though, so get in quick! Plus, Blooms & Tunes is dog-friendly (though they must be on a leash at all times), so you can bring along your four-legged friend to keep you company whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy a sun-soaked day on the green. After the show, be sure to stroll along the paths around The Spectacle Garden’s spring display – it’s truly a floral-filled sight to behold.

BYO alcohol may be consumed on Celebration Lawn between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm and must be accompanied by a substantial meal.
