Say hello to spring at jazz-filled picnic party Blooms & Tunes
The weather is warming up, flowers are blossoming across our vibrant city and fun times are on their way – spring is just around the corner, folks! Welcome the new season with good company and great vibes at Blooms & Tunes, an afternoon of music and picnic goodness held in Brisbane’s inner-city tropical haven, Roma Street Parkland.
Taking place every Saturday and Sunday in September from 1:00–4:00 pm on the Celebration Lawn, Blooms & Tunes promises a relaxed afternoon of live jazz and blues matched with delicious picnic bites. Across the four weeks, you will be able to tive gypsy jazz, world and blues music from a range of talented local artists. Australian-Fijian singer Andrea Kirwin and the Yamanui Social Club will kick off the celebrations on Saturday September 5, followed by an afternoon of sweet melodies from Ingrid James Ensemble on Sunday September 6. The following weekends will be filled with beats from Cigany Weaver, CC the Cat, Soulergy, Blues Arcadia, Mzaza and many more.
