Adventures are awesome – this is a fact. It is also an undisputable truth that adventures are made even better when they involve food and wine. When you add some stunning scenery into the mix, it pretty much becomes the recipe for a perfect afternoon. Are you following? There is an event that has been specifically designed to take you and your tastebuds on a round-trip to Flavour Town, stopping at all stations along the way. Bite Sip Stroll returns for its second outing on Saturday June 3, giving you the chance to experience the gastronomic delights of four of Queensland’s most exclusive restaurants in a single afternoon.

The Bite Sip Stroll phenomenon is rooted firmly in European principles with a unique Australian twist. Created by Ben Daley, his sister Carly Griffin and Ben’s partner Maddy Magi-Prowse, the degustation was originally inspired by cultures that take a relaxed approach to the fine dining experience. Food and wine lovers get to sample the best of everything – a nibble here, a tipple there, all while casually strolling between venues and on to the next delicious adventure. During Bite Sip Stroll, a tight-knit group of just 320 guests will split into four separate groups to sample items from four of the state’s most lauded dining destinations, with the food complemented by expertly matched fine wines.

Bite Sip Stroll isn’t just an adventure around Brisbane’s fine dining scene – it’s also your culinary passport around the world. This year’s selections encompass unique venues that between them boast a litany of awards and accolades, as well as a vast number of international influences. Neil Perry’s Saké Restaurant and Bar will be serving up bites with both modern and traditional Japanese flavours, where Moda draws upon head chef Javier Codina’s Spanish heritage to inspire its offering. The other half of the Bite Sip Stroll experience includes the only three-hatted venues in Queensland, so you know it’s serious business! Esquire’s ever-changing menu focuses on market availability, ensuring a truly unique and tailored dining experience, while Urbane is also influenced by local produce and a constantly evolving style of dining.

If this sounds like the food and wine crawl of your dreams, you can pick up tickets to Bite Sip Stroll through the official event website.
