Fortitude Valley prepares for the BIGSOUND onslaught

Over two nights and across 15 Fortitude Valley venues, the BIGSOUND Music Conference is inviting 150 of Australia’s best undiscovered artists to perform for local audiences.

If you are in the Australian music industry in any capacity, you would agree that BIGSOUND is a big deal. If you aren’t in the music industry, it won’t take long to convince you of the same. On September over 150 of Australia’s brightest rising musical stars will descend on Brisbane to perform in front of music industry bigwigs and local punters. Bands such as Gang Of Youths, Muscles, Avaberée, Babaganouj, Green Buzzard, Holy Holy, Jesse Davidson, Katy Steele, The Belligerents, Tired Lion and many, many more will be playing around town for the official live showcase, which complements the industry conference taking place at the Judith Wright Centre during the day.

If you plan on hanging around Fortitude Valley during the week, consider buying a ticket or even see if you can work your way into the free unofficial parties taking place around town. Title Track, Dew Process, Spunk Records, Rice is Nice Records, The AU Review, Akimbo TV, Deathproof PR and Mushroom Records will all be hosting parties featuring performances by BIGSOUND bands and a few cheeky surprises. Head to the BIGSOUND website to peep the extensive line-up.
