Local talent on show in Mud Crab at Queensland Shorts
Sheldon Lieberman, creator of Brisbane-based animation company bigfish.tv is making headlines again. This time it’s for Mud Crab, an animated short film that is garnering praise both locally and internationally.
A collaboration with animator Igor Corić and Sheldon’s son Spike, Mud Crab is being featured in several large film and animation festivals across Europe, as well as our very own Brisbane International Film Festival.
Exploring the difficulties a father and son face while trapping a mud crab, the black-and-white short is an eccentric and humorous vignette of a father and son working together. Forming one part of a larger series called Spike and Dadda, Mud Crab will be screening on Wednesday November 21 as part of the Queensland Shorts session of the Brisbane International Film Festival.
