Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas light up South Bank

Kick back on the Rainforest Green at South Bank as the flicks begin to roll at Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas this Sunday.

Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas is back for another spectacular summer of movies, music and ice-cream. Kicking off this Sunday September 28 and running until Sunday November 9, Brisbane is the first stop on the outdoor cinema’s national tour that will enchant more than 150,000 filmgoers around the country.

This Sunday will see the Sundae Sessions Charity Launch opening with Melbourne band Husky and vampire comedy What We Do In The Shadows, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to WWF. Open Tuesday to Sunday with up to two films per night screened on a giant 12 m x 6 m screen, the outdoor cinema invites guests to recline in deckchairs, on bean loungers and under blankets while sampling the goods from Vespa Pizza, a fully licensed bar and the tempting Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream stand. Join a Sundae Session on a lazy Sunday afternoon to enjoy live music, a free ice-cream and lawn games such as putt putt, pick-a-pat and giant cow Jenga. View the full film program, eye off the menu and book your tickets online.
