Hone your fiction skills at BAD!SLAM!NO!MEMOIR!

The Queensland Poetry Festival, The Old Museum and Canberra’s poetry slam organisation, BAD!SLAM!NO!BISCUIT!, have banded together to bring a brand new night of performance to Brisbane.

Combining poetry, fiction and performance is BAD!SLAM!NO!MEMOIR!, an event that encourages participation from everyone and anyone – including yourself. Hosted at The Old Museum on Thursday April 2, individuals and groups are invited to get on stage and perform a their own piece of four-minute fiction – the only rule is that it can’t be a memoir. A few lucky audience members will be invited to participate as judges who will decide who comes away with the prize.

BAD!SLAM!NO!MEMOIR! will also include feature performances from Valkyrie Culdesac, Tuesday Thatch and a secret musical guest. Only ten spots are available for walk-in performers, so be sure to arrive at 7:00 pm on the dot to register your interest. Sharpen your pencils, put on your thinking cap and bring your best piece of fiction to the stage on April 2.
