Baby et Lulu return to serenade audiences at Brisbane Powerhouse
After capturing the ears of local audiences at 2015’s Queensland Cabaret Festival, Abby Dobson and Lara Goodridge are returning to make us swoon once again with a set of songs from their second album.
The name Baby et Lulu will be familiar to anyone with even a passing enjoyment of French music. The musical duo have been infatuated with France for the majority of their lives, and have taken it upon themselves to spread the good word of French culture and music by performing iconic songs around the country. Each performance is an amalgamation of elegance, seduction, vivaciousness and romance – set lists of chansons set an irresistible mood that have emotions racing well after the show has finished.
Baby et Lulu’s Album Deux has been produced by Tony Buchen and recorded with some of the best musicians from Sydney’s local scene. The record features a collection of songs from the likes of Edith Piaf, Brigitte Bardot and Francoise Hardy as well as a few of their own original French compositions.
