Harmonise with Avaberée at The Hideaway
Brisbane has seen a slew of boy-dominated bands take to the stage in recent months. While the talent of this boys club is impressive, there’s a new regime of musically inclined ladies proving quite a match – and leading the charge is Avaberée.
The Brisbane band is the creation of a trio of musical talent, with band members including Genevieve, Aimee and Irena. Producing a mixture of soft folk and pop, you’ll hear in each song soft melodies entwined with clever harmonising, as well as some gentle guitar and keyboard. Thanks to the combination of these sounds with a sweet stage persona, the girl group has already earned the coveted support slot for a number of popular national acts, including Matt Corby and Emma Louise.
You can listen to the melodies of Avaberée live with the band’s upcoming performance at intimate Fortitude Valley venue The Hideaway on November 22. Join them for a drink or two and revel in the group’s sounds, as well as help the girls to celebrate the release of their debut single ‘Lover of Mine’. Joining the lasses for the showcase will also be the musical acts of O’Little Sister and Mountains. Tickets for the event are currently available online.
