Brisbane Arts Theatre delivers hilarious hijinks in its production of Are You Being Served?

Featuring all your favourite characters from the BBC classic Are you being served?, Brisbane Arts Theatre’s theatrical adaption promises to be just as cheeky as the original.

Thirty-one years may have passed since its finale aired in 1985, but thanks to re-runs and streaming services, Are You Being Served? continues to be enjoyed by fans, both new and old. From Saturday April 30 to Saturday June 4, Brisbane Arts Theatre is reviving the riotous humour of the quintessentially British sitcom in its hilarious, tongue-in-cheek stage production, which is conveniently titled Are You Being Served? Set in Grace Brothers, an old-fashioned London department store owned by an octogenarian, the performance follows the politically incorrect and sassy shenanigans of the retail staff who work there.

If you find cheeky one-liners, sexual innuendo, misunderstandings, slapstick and mistaken identify amusing, then you’re sure to love this endearing 110 minute production (including a 25-minute interval). We’ll warn you right now: wear a belt, otherwise risk your sides splitting! Buy your tickets online now.
