An education in film with Cine Sparks

From coming-of-age dramas like Stand By Me, to the horrific war-time drama Saving Private Ryan, film shares stories of life in all its forms, from loss to love and everything in between. The medium is a powerful educational tool, particularly for the younger generations who are still shaping their ideas of the world. In an effort to provide youth with an opportunity to delve into the history of movies and their message, the Cine Sparks program has been developed for school students as a part of the Brisbane International Film Festival. This year, Cine Sparks will focus on the importance of the spread of foreign languages with films from all corners of the globe. You can find the full Cine Sparks program for 2012 here.
