A Love Supreme marks a decade of parties with a double-header celebration

The Weekend Edition isn’t the only organisation celebrating its tenth year of operation. Beloved party starters A Love Supreme is also commemorating its tenth circuit around the sun with two massive shows (featuring a tasteful mix of music makers) taking place later this month.

The brains behind A Love Supreme started the business to do more than just throw parties. They sought to foster a thriving community of music lovers, champion underground music makers and spread interesting sounds to new ears. Since launching in 2012, the team has hosted numerous block parties and club nights, each featuring an eclectic mix of international and home-grown creatives that showcased A Love Supreme’s finger-on-the-pulse curatorial nous. Over the years the team brought acts such as Dåm-FunkPeanut Butter Wolf and ONRA to Brisbane while simultaneously fostering the talents of up-and-coming DJs and producers from A Love Supreme’s hometown.

A Love Supreme is celebrating ten years of beats, rhythms, sweaty dance floors and fond-yet-hazy memories with two massive shows featuring another selection of underground icons. The fun starts at The Princess Theatre on Sunday March 20 with a performance from legendary Brazilian jazz-funk trio Azymuth and singer-songwriter Marcos Valle, with support from Middle Name Dance Band, The Jazz House and DJ Paprika. Partiers are encouraged to back it up on Friday March 25 when British electronic music producer Floating Points takes the stage at The Tivoli alongside fellow UK export Ruby Savage and locals DJ JNETT, Mike Who, Sophie McAlister, Lori and Respect Guy. Tickets to both shows are expected to sell out quick – head to the A Love Supreme website to get yours now.
