Catch the 4MBS Festival of Classics in May
Soak up 29 classical music events in 16 venues over the month of May, as the 4MBS Festival of Classics returns to Brisbane.
From the Old Museum Concert Hall to the Schonell Theatre at the University of Queensland, an eclectic range of venues will host a wonderful collection of classical music events this month at the 4MBS Festival of Classics. The 22nd annual festival will focus on the theme of The Glory of Vienna and will feature talented Brisbane musicians, while encouraging locals of all ages and musical tastes to lend classical music an ear.
The festival will launch with the sounds of the Queensland Choir and the Sinfonia of St Andrew’s at the Cathedral of St Stephen this Friday May 1, before featuring live-to-air piano sessions and a Kawai Beethoven marathon, finally drawing to a close with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra on Sunday May 31.
