Celebrate emerging talent with 4 Walls Festival
Back for its third year, 4 Walls Festival will showcase the creme de la creme of Australia’s emerging musical talent. For eight hours this Saturday August 4, a few locals (and a few non-locals) will entertain you with their range of melodies, with genres spanning from indie to heavy metal.
4 Walls Festival was created by Youth Music Industries in 2010, after it recognised a gap in the all-ages market and suitably presented a show that catered to all ages and all music styles. Not only does the event give young musicians the festival experience, but also gives Brisbanites the chance to immerse themselves a little more in the local music scene. This may also be your opportunity to catch a glimpse of the next big thing – last year’s performers Matt Corby and Last Dinosaurs have gone on to launch successful careers in the industry.
The 2012 incarnation will include three stages of young Australian performers. The line-up includes The Paper Kites, Millions, Cub Scouts, The Belligerents and Fairchild Republic as headliners. Accompanying them will be a number of other musicians including Avabaree, Mountains and Stu Larsen. Tickets are on sale now and can be bought via Moshtix.
