LyLo brings Brisbane’s first pod accommodation to an iconic Fortitude Valley building

With three successful outposts in New Zealand, Lylo is jumping across the pond to give Brisbane a taste of its bougie-feeling but budget-friendly accommodation. Setting up shop in the heart of Fortitude Valley, this vibrant venue is offering premium sleeping pods, private ensuite rooms and group accommodation, catering to travellers of all styles and tax brackets.

Located at 142 Constance Street in the former Limes Hotel, Lylo has given the building a facelift inside and out – starting with its eye-catching mural from local artist Jordache Gage. A tribute to Meanjin, the work symbolises the Brisbane River and its surrounding flora and fauna. Inside, a comprehensive interior renovation introduces multi-purpose spaces to eat and sleep, work and play, while encouraging relaxation and connection with other travellers. There are quiet co-working rooms, wellness corners with spin bikes and a rooftop hangout space complete with communal kitchen, self-pouring beer, wine and cocktails on tap.

The property offers private sleeping pods from $69 per night, in rooms of four or six pods, with the option of female-only rooms. There are also private ensuite rooms and ‘family rooms’ which feature a queen bed, two pods and an ensuite. As Brisbane’s first ever pod accommodation Lylo is aiming to give us high standards to live up to. Its self-contained pods are carefully designed for comfort and space, with king single beds, your own lights and temperature control. Even while tucked in behind the cosy acoustic privacy screens you can access the super fast WiFi while your precious devices are plugged into the multiple charging ports. Plus your bags can rest safe and sound in the secure luggage storage lockers located next to each pod.

Lylo managing director Tim Alpe says, “We do things differently at LyLo. From our innovative communal spaces to our commitment to guest comfort in unique sleeping formats, LyLo Brisbane sets a new standard for travellers seeking affordability without compromising on quality. Opening our doors in Brissie is just the beginning of our journey, and we’ve already got our next LyLo properties in the pipeline to continue expanding our presence across Australia.”

Part of EVT Limited’s travel portfolio, Lylo launched in New Zealand in 2022, with successful locations in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. LyLo has plans to open additional Australian sites in the near future, including a flagship development on the Gold Coast and a location in Fremantle, with opening dates to be announced.
