New co-working space WORKROOM launches at Showroom in Paddington
Working from home can be great – you can focus, work to the hours that suit you and – let’s face it – not wear pants if you so desire. But sometimes working from home is not so great and you just need to get out of the house.
Understanding the not-so-great issues of working from home, Catherine Roberts, the gal behind The Spring Shop and Paddington’s Showroom, decided to create a space where likeminded people could work separately but together at the same time. Housed inside Showroom, WORKROOM is a co-working space where people can collaborate, conduct meetings, and basically do anything they need to do to get on with their daily work.
WORKROOM works on a ten-session-pass system – your first visit is complimentary, then you can buy a ten-session pass (one session equals one day) to be used within three months. Once you’ve obtained a pass, you can reserve an individual desk or meeting room for a time that suits you. Pass holders have access to two workspaces, inside or out on the breezy verandah, as well as free WiFi, power points and tea-making and kitchen facilities.
