UQ Architecture Lecture Series returns to APDL for 2014

Presented by the University of Queensland’s School of Architecture and SLQ’s Asia Pacific Design Library, the 2014 UQ Architecture Lecture Series will present the ideas and strategies of forward-thinking architects from Brisbane, Australia and around the globe.

The weekly lecture series will be held at SLQ each Tuesday from March 25 until May 20. Finn Pederson and Martyn Hook of Melbourne and Perth-based practice Iredale Pedersen Hook will be the first to take to the stage on March 25, followed by Penny Collins and Huw Turner of Collins and Turner Architects from Sydney on April 1. Brisbane’s own Mathew Aitchison from UQ and Chris Knapp from Bond University will provide an academic contribution, while Liam Young from London-based think tank Tomorrow’s Thoughts Today will present his dystopian ideas on urban design.

The 2014 UQ Architecture Lecture Series will explore architectural issues of all types, with the talks presenting an opportunity to widen your knowledge base, be inspired by global happenings and gain insight into the design process and solutions of the contemporary architect.
