Local innovators and artists will be tickled to hear that a dreamy new creative hub is set to open on Barry Parade this week, offering a place to dream, create, exhibit and mingle.

The Station is a new co-working office, art gallery, photography studio and function space opening in the heart of Fortitude Valley this week on Friday June 7. Catering to artists, photographers, makers and designers, the venue hopes to offer a creative HQ for those who need an affordable outlet to create, grow and fine-tune their ideas. Tucked away behind a cheerful green façade, the tranquil studio offers a few different workspace options to suit varying needs. To the left of the main warehouse, step through a separate entrance to a private office available to rent on a month-to-month basis; high work benches, a kitchenette and a record player fuel your creativity in this beautifully curated space. Alternatively, short-term hot desks are up for rent in the main warehouse for half-day or full-day hire. The Station is also available for photo shoots, workshops, art exhibitions and events.

The Station will celebrate its official opening with an art-filled launch party from 6:00–9:00 pm on Friday June 7. Enjoy music by Sebastian Moody and Jeremy Hindmarsh, floral installations by Bloodwood Botanica and Fiflar, and art by featured artists from A Soft Collective, including Emily Lehman, Haidee Lorenz, Holly Riding, Irina Strauss, Peri Ewin, Waterchild and Zari McCosker. Devour grazing platters and drinks available by donation, have a dance and admire the work sprouting from the local Brisbane arts scene.
