Space + Moooi Design Residency

Space + Moooi Design Residency announces shortlist

While bursting onto the design scene with an entrepreneurial vision and courageous heart – driven to go it alone – is more the norm these days, a little helping hand from those in the know is always a welcome starting point to a young creative.

Enter the Space + Moooi Design Residency programme. Moooi founders Casper Vissers and Marcel Wanders have drafted a shortlist of eight individuals or pairs keen to further their practice through the residency. The emerging Australian designers include Andrew Southwood-Jones and Alexander Kashin, Kristian Aus, Ross Gardam, Tom Fereday, Bradley Mitchell, Emma Elizabeth, Daniel To and Emma Aiston and Brisbane’s own Christina Waterson.

The entrants will present their work to a panel at Space in Sydney on February 12, with the winning designer awarded two months working inside the Moooi business in Breda and Amsterdam in The Netherlands, where they’ll learn all aspects of the design process.
