Southpoint set to add a new retail and dining precinct in 2016
The Anthony John Group has unveiled plans to add to the Southpoint development, revealing information regarding a 4,500sqm retail and dining area.
In conjunction with plans to add new residences and apartments to the area in 2017, the Anthony John Group is working to ensure that Southpoint becomes a new hub in South Brisbane. The previously announced construction of Emporium Residences, Emporium Apartments and a new Emporium Hotel will incorporate a facelift of South Bank train station and aims to turn the junction of Vulture and Grey Streets into South Bank’s cultural and dining centre.
The retail and dining precinct has already locked in its first tenant, with Woolworths set to open South Bank’s first major supermarket. The area will be designed as a village-style market, with space for fresh food, dining and boutique retail spaces. This new precinct is slated to be delivered in mid-2016, head to the Anthony John Group website for more information on the Southpoint development as a whole.
