Brisbane’s Quench set to exhibit at WantedDesign NYC

Founded in 2011 by Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat, WantedDesign has become a popular meeting point for designers, manufacturers, artisans, students, design institutions, the media and design lovers from around the world. This year will see six Brisbane-based designers exhibit their works at the three-day event as part of NYCxDESIGN.

Known as Quench, the Brisbane collective is made up of Alexander Lotersztain from Derlot Studio, Jason Bird from Luxxbox, Marc Harrison from Husque, David Shaw from Street & Garden Furniture Co. and Surya Graf and Bjorn Rust from Snack On. Driven by their obsession for design, the local creatives formed Quench as a vehicle to channel their focus, expand their global presence and bring their unique design sensibilities to the world stage.

Three members of the collective – Bjorn Rust, Alexander Lotersztain and Jason Bird – will travel to WantedDesign NYCxDESIGN this weekend to engage with the international design community, share their unique perspectives and showcase Queensland’s burgeoning design industry. Located in the exceptional landmark Terminal Stores building on 11th Avenue, WantedDesign NYCxDESIGN will take place from Friday May 16 to Monday May 19 in New York City.
