Queen’s Tower set to be landmark development in Brisbane’s CBD
A development application has been lodged for a new luxury skyscraper development at 545 Queen Street.
As Brisbane grows, so too does its skyline. The coming years could see a new development rise among Brisbane CBD’s north-eastern corner, with a development application recently lodged for Queen’s Tower. The building would tentatively take shape as part of a residential precinct currently developing between Queen, Adelaide and Macrossan Streets. The application lays out plans for a 250 metre, 76-storey building, which will blend luxury residences, short-term accommodation and new shopping and dining areas.
The project is being handled by development management team PDS Australia, with construction slated to start in the near future. The building will house 891 luxury residences, 100 serviced apartments and space for new retail and commercial businesses. Residents will also have access to a private open-space podium roof deck with a swimming pool. The architectural concept has been created by global design and consulting firm Woods Bagot, which put forth designs incorporating slimline silhouettes and semi-circular forms.
