Brisbane’s first Pottery Barn and west elm to open in Fortitude Valley

North American homewares retailer Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is set to expand into Brisbane, with three of its home-furnishing brands opening on James Street in Fortitude Valley in the second half of the year.

You may have noticed some significant construction happening on the old AECOM site in the Centro and James Street Markets precinct, and wondered what new treats might be gracing the strip with their presence. Well the answer is American retail giant Williams-Sonoma, Inc., which will be launching Queensland’s first Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and west elm stores as part of its global expansion.

Pottery Barn, west elm and Pottery Barn Kids will stock a range of homewares, furnishings, linen, lighting and more, each catering to differing tastes and styles. The stores will be inter-connected, and will provide the brands’ signature services including a free in-home design services, allowing customers to consult with design specialists free of charge. Set to open in the second half of the year, the store launches will coincide with the opening of the first Western Australian store in Perth, bringing Williams-Sonoma, Inc.’s store total to 15 in Australia.
