Adopting a ‘pay it forward’ philosophy, local design team madeforward craft clean and refined products using locally sourced repurposed materials.

With an aim to reduce the amount of landfill produced each year, madeforward has begun crafting local and sustainable design products by upcycling materials, hence paying it forward to our natural environment and those who live in it. The design team’s goal is to be better than sustainable using net-positive design principles – rather than minimising the company’s negative impact on the environment, the team strives to actively produce positive impacts.

madeforward will release its maiden range of vertical gardens and upcycled planters on October 13, but in the spirit of paying it forward, the team has released open-source plans of its Brick Planter design for budding green thumbs to make at home from their own upcycled waste. Once available, a percentage of profits from the madeforward product sales will contribute to community, environmental and regional developments workshops and projects both in Australia and abroad.
