Famous for its distinctive heart-shaped vases, local design studio Lovestar has launched its latest collection just in time for Valentine’s Day. Channelling the classic pastel candy hearts that have long been used as a lolly-form Cupid’s arrow, the collection comes in five candy colours bearing different sweetheart messages including ‘XOXO’, ‘Be Mine’ and ‘Cutie Pie’. The candy heart vases are smaller than Lovestar’s usual hearts, and are made from coloured plexiglass, produced in New York exclusively for Lovestar. Each vase comes wrapped up in a signature Lovestar organic calico heart tote, accompanied by a pack of real candy hearts for those still craving a sugar hit.

Every single Lovestar vase is handmade lovingly by husband-and-wife duo Helen and Chris Bayley, with the help of Chris’s father. As well as its signature neon, clear and sparkle hearts, Lovestar has recently added limited-edition heirloom ‘china’ vases to its collection, and the first in its limited-edition Iconic Portrait vase series – the genius Frida Kahlo-inspired Frida vase.
