Left-handed writers catered for thanks to Leftybooks
An inventive Kickstarter campaign is hoping to fund a series of notebooks designed for lefties.
Lefties have been the silent sufferers in the design world for a long time. Scissors, corkscrews, desks have been tailored to right-handed individuals, leaving the poor left-handed feeling left out (pun intended). Imborrable is a Spanish company that has set about making life as a lefty a little bit easier with a range of notebooks specifically designed for left-handed writers.
Leftybooks are designed in such a way as to remove the problematic issue to ink stains, smudges and smears which occur when writing left to right. Imborrable has solved this problem by filling the notebook with slightly slant-ruled paper, which allows for left-handed writing without running over one’s own notes. Leftybooks use paper from renewable forests as is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The crowd-funding campaign for Leftybooks runs until January 12 2016 – head to the Leftybooks website for more information on the product and how you can help it become a reality.
