The Calile unveils its luxurious spa and gym offering

When it comes to James Street’s luxury hotel The Calile, we have been tempted and teased with some amazing hints as to what is in store for the space. Following announcements of Queensland-first retailers and dreamy dining precincts, it seems like the good news is set to keep on coming ahead of the hotel’s opening date. The Calile’s luxurious spa and gym offering has just been revealed, and you’d better believe that it’s just as impressive as its food and retail siblings.

The Calile Hotel certainly isn’t doing anything by halves, and its spa and gym announcement is a testament to this drive for high quality. KAILO Wellness Medispa and Forme Fitness are the two new names on The Calile roll call, set to occupy part of the pool deck level in the Richards & Spence-designed space. The aesthetics of both the spa and the gym have been carefully considered to maximise the unique subtropical style and sensibility of the hotel.

KAILO is the brainchild of Brisbane spa specialist Meaghan South, former creator and owner of nationally acclaimed Dome Spa Retreat and current wellness wizard behind James Street’s Outshine. Meaghan’s ethos is to provide a holistic wellness experience across skin health, medical aesthetics and beauty essentials, combining ancient wisdom with modern practice to achieve this. Brisbane cosmetic medicine specialist Dr. Edwina Morgan has also come on board, and will be heading up a team of professional paramedical therapists and doctors.

Forme Fitness makes up the second part of the wellness offering, comprising a boutique space filled with state-of-the-art equipment and training methods bolstered by well-considered amenities and little touches of luxury. Owner Tristan Forbes is bringing his ten years of industry experience to the table, curating a team that will offer a full service to both hotel guests and the public.
