Design practice ROTHELOWMAN has begun developing a new hub in The Gabba, which will see a new precinct take shape around Gibbon and Hubert Streets.

Brisbane’s inner-south has experienced high levels of growth amongst young professionals and buyers. With a goal of creating a vibrant, cosmopolitan lifestyle in the suburb, Aria Property Group has commissioned ROTHELOWMAN to develop two mid-rise residential buildings that are perfectly suited for city workers and first homeowners looking to be near the action. The two buildings, Ivy Terrace and Eden Lane are a part of a four-stage development across Gibbon and Hubert Streets, located across Stanley Street from the Woolloongabba bus station.

The development will boast a cross block link, with a public thoroughfare including retail stores and a small-scale urban design space, improving the area with urban regeneration. Eden Lane will feature 56 apartments, while Ivy Terrace with house 50 units over six storeys. The development will also add a large communal recreation space between both buildings including a large lawn area, pool, barbeque and gym facilities. Both Eden Lane and Ivy Terrace will finish construction at the end of 2015, with first residents expected to move in early next year.
