Imbue some fun into your kitchen with goods from Champ Co
An architect-turned-designer has taken an interest in play theory and design in more creative areas to create some remarkable items to jazz up your dining table.
The term ‘infinite play’ refers to interacting without being dictated by rules, guidelines and stoppages – embodying positive reinforcement and facilitating engagement and participation with objects and games. Lauren Steller sought to explore that notion when she started Champ Co, a manufacturer of bespoke design products and boutique architectural projects. Through this multifaceted approach to design, Champ Co is able to create a series of unique products that capture imaginations and facilitate new engagements around the idea of play – something that relates to everyone.
Champ Co creates a range of goods that have practical uses around the home, as well as a small selection necklaces made from timber and tassel fringing. Other items include rhombus table trivets made from recycled aeroplane tyres and new rubber (made in such a way as to encourage tessellating shapes to play with), tea towels (which double as board game prints) and rhombus breadboards made from bamboo ply. Each item introduces a way to play to encourage imaginative thinking while in the kitchen, having breakfast with the family to entertaining. Had to the Champ Co website to have a look at the selection of wares and see where you can incorporate some fun into your dinner party. Champ ships nationally with free postage on all products.
