Max Hunt is an England-born designer who fostered a love for design and art at an early age, making his decision to study industrial design a no-brainer. After noticing a lack of affordable design in Adelaide and Australian in general, Max started his own company in 2012. The notion of designing furniture that was affordable while still maintaining high-quality design standards is what formed the basis of Hunt Furniture – a local manufacturer of elegant and comfortable pieces for homes and offices.

Max works on the mantra of Get Real, Buy Real and Supply Real. Get Real relates to supporting local design and being vocal about good choices, while Buy Real emphasises the importance of producing affordable choices to the market. Supply Real highlights the issue that many businesses supply fake and rip off designs, and encourages consumers to boycott such practices and support unique endeavour. All of Hunt Furniture’s products are made locally in Adelaide using steel and timber, made to be simple and elegant with a hint of masculinity.
