BPM announces Hecker Guthrie-designed Highline for West End
With its Escent and Onyx apartments already sold out and underway, BPM is making its third foray into the West End property market with the launch of its latest development, Highline.
Designed and built by locals Noel Robinson Architects and Charlie Woodward, Highline will feature a modulated facade, with recessed concrete screens balancing light and shade, whilst accentuating the building’s floor-to-ceiling windows and generous-yet-secluded balconies. Positioned on Bank Street in West End, the development will include a total of 142 units, with 43 one-bedroom, 97 two-bedroom and two three-bedroom apartments. Each will come with a minimum of one car space, and the building will accommodate 36 visitor car parks. Highline will also include a breathtaking rooftop pool and lounge with barbecue area, looking out over the surrounding city skyline.
Highline’s sleek interiors have been designed by renowned Melbourne interior-design studio Hecker Guthrie, complementing the strong architectural geometry of the exterior with freestanding angled insertions that provide a sense of space and flow within each apartment. A sophisticated palette of white on white contrasts with elements of warmth and the natural sunlight that spills in through the wide windows. Fine matte-black detailing is sprinkled throughout, including kitchen and bathroom tapware and door handles.
Registrations of interest are now open, with the project official launching with a street party on February 21. Construction for Highline will commence mid year, with completion due for late 2016.
