Tim Gurner’s FV brings a slice of the Big Apple to Fortitude Valley
Ask anyone about the iconic architecture and design of New York City and there are several structures bound to get a mention, one of which being the Flatiron Building. The striking and unique skyscraper was ahead of its time, cementing the Big Apple’s status as a leader of the pack in the international design sphere. Brisbane’s skyline has gotten a serious upgrade with the addition of FV, the ambitious project from luxury developers GURNER™ that has been inspired by a true New York original. The first two towers of FV have just been unveiled and the results are pretty darn spectacular.
When construction commenced two-and-a-half years ago on GURNER™’s FV project, the plan was to create something to push the limits of apartment-style living whilst maintaining a distinct luxury aesthetic. The $600 million landmark development has certainly delivered on its promise, becoming an immediately recognisable element in Brisbane’s booming landscape. Melbourne-based company Elenberg Fraser has designed the FV complex, loading each of the three buildings with impeccable and opulent detail.
The first two buildings, Flatiron and Valley House, include 1860sqm of premium retail space and more than 2,500sqm of luxury communal amenity, including four (count them, four) pools, a moonlight cinema, three VIP spa and dining areas, a commercial-sized Life Fitness gym and yoga studio, extra private dining spaces and resort-style sun decks. The project’s third and final tower, No.1, is also under construction via builder ICON and is on course to reach completion by mid-2019.
FV will be operating as FV Peppers Residences, a long-term apartment leasing and management facility – to enquire about living your New York fantasy, head to the GURNER™ website.
