New residential precinct planned for Donkin Street West End

West End’s Donkin Street has been pegged for a new residential precinct, sitting pretty on the banks of the Brisbane River.

Pointcorp, the team behind West End’s Vida development, has submitted the DA for the 25 Donkin Street site. The proposed West End precinct will comprise of 988 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across seven separate residential towers. The buildings on the river side will sit 11 storeys high, while the apartments at the back will reach to 12 storeys. Designed by Cottee Parker Architects, each building also includes rooftop amenities, including pools and barbecue or lounge areas.

Perched on the banks of the Brisbane River, a stone’s throw away from Davies Park, the precinct will also include a new riverside park, as well as a barbecue and picnic area and a cycle path, which will replace what is currently Riverside Drive. The development is one of many proposed for the new Kurilpa Riverfront Renewal.
