The new building is part of a corporate property strategy that sees Energex support its northside network by consolidating properties and enhancing efficiency. Set along Sandgate Road, the urban hub also features residential, retail and cafe spaces, with the precinct having altered the skyline and streetscape of the suburb, boosting the vibrancy of the village.

Within the eight-level tower, the Energex Northern Metro Office has been designed by local architecture firm Arkhefield. The interior design fitout sees the atrium space as the focal point of the building, with a striking ‘Harry Potter-inspired’ staircase and a bespoke lighting feature cascading above the open stairwell. Wood and concrete has been used to add authenticity to the space, while a bright colour scheme has been employed for the chattels that appear in both office and social zones. The Circa Energex NMO has been shortlisted in the ‘Workplace over 1000 sqm’ category in the Interior Design Excellence Awards for 2013.
