Austin announced as Australia’s best residential high rise development
South Brisbane residential development Austin has been named Australia’s Best High Rise Development for 2015 at a prestigious property awards ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
Developed by ARIA and designed by ROTHELOWMAN, South Brisbane apartment tower, Austin, has taken out the title of Australia’s Best High Rise Development for 2015 at the Asia Pacific International Property Awards – a ceremony that celebrates excellence across the property industry worldwide. The architecturally designed 138-unit complex, which is located on Grey Street, sold out within just 30 days.
One of the building’s talking points is its impressive roof level that has been designed as a well-appointed, external communal facility inclusive of gardens, a swimming pool and barbeque dining areas to capitalise on the site location and expansive outlook. In addition, thanks to the significant hospitality and retail hub located at Austin’s ground level (home to Julius Pizzeria and Gauge), developers were able to make use of the adjacent underutilised Fish Lane, and promote resident and civic engagement with the building.
The construction of Austin is part of South Brisbane’s evolution from a suburb dominated by industry since the early 1900s, to a high-density residential and commercial precinct.
