Queensland meets Japan in Architecture: Made by Women

Brisbane Powerhouse’s latest exhibition Architecture: Made by Women launches an enquiry into gender, the design process and the role of gender in architecture.

Offering the opportunity to see and celebrate the vast local and international contributions made by female architects to the built environment, Architecture: Made by Women covers a diverse range of projects from across Queensland and Japan, including interiors and houses, education and cultural facilities, commercial buildings, urban design and master planning.

Many significant studies have been completed examining the role of women in architecture, looking at equity, representation and participation, and this exhibition aims to bring these issues to light by showcasing the work of talented female architects. Architecture: Made by Women will run from Tuesday July 15 to Sunday August 10 at Brisbane Powerhouse.
