New mixed-used development planned for Gregory Terrace

A new development application has been lodged by Cromwell Property Group, detailing a new mixed-use development on the corner of Gregory Terrace and Bowen Bridge Road in Fortitude Valley.

The DA plans for two new towers, with the site sitting at 527 Gregory Terrace opposite The Old Museum. The stage one tower will sit at 30 storeys high with all residential apartments, and stage two at 25 storeys and a mix of commercial spaces and residential apartments, with the development comprising 521 apartments in total. Designed by Nettleton Tribe, the residential apartments will be available in one- and two-bedroom options, with the two-bedrooms offering the choice of one or two bathrooms.

Each tower will include an elevated residents’ recreation deck, both with pools and a barbecue area. Stage one also looks to have a private club lounge at the top of the tower for resident recreation. The ground floor of the development will also feature a public landscapes plaza, with a variety of tropical plans to soften the architecture. A pedestrian connection has also been planned on the southern boundary, which will link to neighbouring developments and Brunswick Street. Retail spaces are planned for the link, with the opportunity for laneway cafes, bars and restaurants.
