Get your contraceptive pill delivered to your door with new subscription service Kin

If you're a gal that pops The Pill on the daily, you probably know there's nothing more inconvenient than trying to make a last-minute doctors appointment to refill a script. Luckily for us, there's a new kid on the block when it comes to supplies and its name is Kin. Australia's first subscription Pill service, Kin sends your contraceptive pill top-ups straight to your door by allowing you to ditch the in-person doctor's visit for a 100 percent online, text-based consult. This means no more rushed appointments, last-minute trips to the chemist, or the dreaded moment you realise you've run out and you need a new prescription (d'oh!). Kin is here to help make this pill an easier one to swallow. more

Karaoke stages, waterfalls and Turkish bathhouses – five baller Queensland pads that you can call yours

We’ve all fantasised of living in a huge mansion with enough rooms to get lost in. In reality, however, our budgets are a little (lot) more modest – though it doesn’t hurt to dream. With a little help from a certain search engine, we can have a sneak peek at extravagant addresses that just scream luxury. We're not talking your standard six-bedroom, five-bathroom mansions here – we're talking straight-up 80s-drug-dealer yes-I-have-my-own-helicopter ridiculousness – and there are SEVERAL (well, at least five) of these mansions currently on the market in Queensland. So if you've got a spare $8 (or $45) million lying around, time to get out the cheque book and live your Tony Montana dreams. If not, it might be time to arrange that sugar daddy. more

Plastic not-so-fantastic – five ways to help you reduce your reliance this July

Plastic has emerged as one of the greatest man-made environmental disasters of our time. Synthetic pliable polymers made from petrol have transformed the way we live – it's cheap to produce and long-lasting. Unfortunately for planet Earth, it is those very attributes that have cursed the eco-system as nearly every single piece of plastic ever created still exists in some form today. It has infiltrated every aspect of modern life – from the devices we are using to bring you this article to the cars we drive, the bottles that house our shampoos and cleaning products to the cling film that is keeping your lunch fresh in the fridge – it's all plastic and it will outlive you by a few hundred years. In a perfect world we would all pledge to go plastic-free for good, however, the reality is that it may not be possible to do all at once. Anne Marie Bonneau aka The Zero Waste Chef said it… more

Beauty is in the eye of the bee-holder – the West End hub teaching you how to attract bees to your garden

We all know the importance of bees and their role of preserving the ecological balance – bees basically run the world, or keep it going at least. To continue its World Bee Day celebrations and to lend a helping hand to these honey-making superheroes, West Village continues to add an exciting selection of activities and information to its Village Bees online hub dedicated to all things bees, butterflies and nature. If you want to help out our pollinating mates and the ecosystem they protect (both especially suffering due to the bushfires that occurred earlier this year), then one way you can do this is to invite them into your garden. It takes a village – or West Village to be specific – to learn how to attract these crazy critters to your backyard and the West End hub has got gardener (and certified green thumb) Amelia Valenti on its side, ready to take you under her wing and teach… more

Neighbourhood favourite Suburban Social expands with its brand-new Holland Park local

When it comes to nailing a neighbourhood pub in 2020, one must pay attention to all of the details. It's not enough to have a cracking beer selection – a good bar should also boast a warm atmosphere, outgoing and attentive staff, and a food selection that sits a few notches above what could be considered standard. The crew behind Chapel Hill haunt Suburban Social have been delivering on all counts since opening the bar in 2016, but now the team is looking to elevate their game considerably with their second venue, which opened over the weekend in Holland Park. more

Get a box of cheesy goodness delivered to your door thanks to Mould Cheese Collective

Okay, we'll come right out and say it – we love cheese. In fact, we spend a disproportionate amount of our days thinking about, talking about and eating cheese. Whether it's a bitey blue, a creamy camembert or a gooey goat's cheese – it's all gouda (sorry, couldn't resist). If you too possess a deep love for cheesy goodness, we're willing to go out on a limb and suggest you might also appreciate the Mould Cheese Collective – a monthly delivery of happiness to your door.  more
