WIN ONE OF 100 DOUBLE PASSES TO THE WEEKEND EDITION’S SPECIAL SCREENING OF AMOUR
Winner of the Palme d’Or in 2012 – the highest prize awarded at the Cannes Film Festival – Amour is a moving drama directed by Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke. A joint French, German and Austrian production, Amour tells the story of cultivated, retired music teachers Georges and Anne. A couple in their eighties, Georges and Anne have always radiated a great love, but when Anne has a stroke, their bond is severely tested. Paralysed on one side of her body, Anne makes Georges promise not to put her into care, but their daughter Eva returns home from living abroad wanting to get her mother help. Appearing in his first film in seven years, renowned French actor Jean-Louis Trintignant stars in Amour alongside Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert, crafting an intensely heart-stirring story of love, death and family.
The Weekend Edition is presenting a special screening of Amour at Palace Barracks Cinemas on Wednesday February 13 at 6:30 pm.
