Step Into the Fold at Edwina Corlette Gallery

Society may have lost its obsession with still life in the last few centuries, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still an appreciated art form. Claire Stening is one modern artist who continues to construct reality in her paintings of still life and portraiture. Painting sculptures with powerful shading, Claire harnesses an impressive use of light in each piece and uses colour to bounce each image from two to three dimensions. Into the Fold is Claire’s second exhibition at the Edwina Corlette Gallery, showing a collection of pieces that encourage viewers to appreciate the beauty of objects.
