A Room of One’s Own

A Room of One’s Own

By Virginia Woolf. Published 1929.

Considered a non-fiction work, A Room of One’s Own is an extended feminist essay based on a series of lectures Virginia Woolf gave at two women’s colleges at Cambridge University. Exploring women as writers of and characters in fiction, A Room of One’s Own provided a space for women to find the liberty to create art in a traditionally male-dominated arena.
