Reload Espresso Bar
9 Chrome Street, Salisbury
Passing the building by chance one day, Giuliano Perez admired its potential, immediately envisaging what he could do with the space. Before he knew it, Reload Espresso Bar was born, its name paying homage to the building’s previous life as a bullet factory. Maintaining its old wooden rafters and exposed-brick walls, Reload’s interior is peppered with relics of times past and the soothing sounds of vinyl fill the space, spinning everything from Brenda Lee to Sade. Diners sit at mish-mashed tables and chairs, with everything from a 1970s pea-green vinyl sofa to converted Singer sewing machine tables. Burst of greenery pop up throughout the cafe, with the exterior of the building framed by herbs, florals and an array of succulents.
