Steven Prasad, Bar Manager, 5ifth Element

Always lead by example ...

The alchemists of the Middle Ages were passionate about discovering the key to immortality. They studied the earth, air, fire and water, hoping that a fusion of the four would create a magical fifth element that would heal pain and deliver a blissful life. When they tried distilling wine, they found this fifth element, a fiery new liquid that we all now indulge in come the weekend. Taking its name from this historic moment, 5ifth Element at South Bank is a go-to spot for a finely crafted cocktail. Having previously worked at The Bowery, bar manager Steven Prasad is passionate about educating patrons about the finer side of liquor. It was Michael J. Fox in The Concierge that inspired a young Steven to enter the hospitality industry, the main character dedicated to looking after his clients and being looked after in return. The Weekend Edition caught up with Steven to chat weekend happenings.
