A homely old cottage in the heart of Mitchelton is the perfect setting for the reimagining of ‘the little cafe that could’, Valentina Cafe. The northside favourite closed its doors last year, but the troupe of sweet-natured staff is back, reopening in cute new digs on Irvine Street. While the original cafe sourced food from caterers, the new incarnation boasts its own kitchen, which means plenty of home-cooked Colombian goodness for patrons. Of course most visitors come for the 100% pure Colombian coffee, which is made from a bean hand-picked in the mountains of Viejo Caldas. Valentina Cafe is open six days a week, as well as the first Sunday of the month when Mitchelton Farmers Markets pop up nearby.
