A tropical oasis nestled in the heart of Westfield Garden City, The Palms Mediterranean Bar and Grill is not what you would usually associate with suburban shopping centre dining. The breezy restaurant is the latest venture from Alchemy Restaurant + Bar’s Angelica and Brad Jolly, together with head chef Josh Wilby. Set amongst the palm trees by the precinct’s centrepiece, a fountained water feature, it’s easy to think you’ve been transported out of the shopping centre and into the Mediterranean. The restaurant focuses on relaxed Mediterranean-style shared dining, with such dishes as manchego and jamon croquetas, spiced prawns or fish of the day cooked over the Spanish Josper charcoal grill.
