Pig’s Ear Wine and Grill

Indooroopilly Shopping Centre’s Pig ‘N’ Whistle has gained a new side restaurant, with Pig’s Ear Wine and Grill opening in the Station Road precinct just behind Fish Feathers. The 260-seat space boasts handcrafted spotted gum furniture and a 2500-bottle wine cellar at the back of the restaurant. Brought to you by the Mantle Group, the long-serving hospitality team behind Brisbane favourites Jimmy’s on the Mall and The Charming Squire, Pig’s Ear Wine and Grill dishes up sumptuous steaks and quality drops from around the globe. Seasonal produce has been sourced from Mantle Group’s organic farm in Pullenvale and growers around South East Queensland, while quality beef cuts come direct from the company’s own line of Kimberley Red. A paddock-to-plate philosophy is evident in dishes like crispy-skin Hunter Valley duck breast and confit leg with smashed peas, almond puree and fig, and prosciutto-wrapped Goldfield region lamb loin with pea puree, gnocchi and cabernet jus. Finish off the feast with a selection of handcrafted Woombye cheeses or roasted Bundaberg strawberries with pistachio praline.
