Neighbourhood Coffee Roasters

Neighbourhood Coffee Roasters has long been renowned for perking up patrons from its Bardon location, and we certainly perked up when we heard that owner and roaster Alex Ridgway and team would be moving its formerly Sumner Park-based roastery to Albion. The new space at Albion Fine Trades opened to the public in the first half of 2017, housing all roasting and production operations, as well as a small on-site cafe and food offering. Neighbourhood will be joining Jocelyn’s Provisions’ new Albion Provisions store, as well as Phoebe Stephens Flowers and Magnolia Interiors in the new precinct. Although the cafe is smaller than its Bardon sibling, customers can still get their helping of specialty brews including Japanese iced filter, pour-over, cold-drip and trinity brew varieties are available, as well as taps pouring cold-brew lemongrass and rose nitro tea and single-origin nitro coffee. A concise menu offers scrumptious avocado on toast varieties, as well as a snacks such as croissants, delicious sandwiches, lemon coconut blondies and flourless carrot cake.
