Preparing for a weekend of feasting? You might want to pencil in a visit to Ipswich’s new permanent food market. Urbane Markets Ipswich will see up to 15 food stalls set up shop at Swifts Sports Club in Booval every Friday and Saturday night, alongside 30 general market stalls and a vast array of entertainment from 4:00–10:00 pm. It’s not uncommon to see the likes of MooFree Burgers, Uncle Phil’s Dumpling Envy and Dippin’ Dots dishing out the goods to a backdrop of live entertainment, children’s activities and more. In the coming weeks the site will also start hosting a farmers market on Saturday mornings.
