Located in Fortitude Valley’s historic Bell Brothers building, which has watched Brisbane transform over many decades, Cafe Belson is a place to take your coffee in charming art deco surrounds. In an ode to the history of the building, the cafe is furnished with plush red antique couches and assorted pieces from secondhand shops. Behind the counter you’ll find co-owner Channelle Mayson tending the coffee machine, happily toiling away in the knowledge she has finally opened her own space after 15 years in the hospitality industry. Cafe Belson’s menu is simple, designed to feature tasty bites that complement the Genovese Coffee, which is made on Barambah Organics milk or Bonsoy. The food can be packaged to take away or savoured while watching the world pass by the front of the cafe.
