Barley & Rye sits on the busy corner of Stanley Street and Ipswich Road, diagonally across from The Gabba. Currently occupying the space that was formerly the Woolloongabba Hotel, Barley & Rye is now one of the most convenient watering holes in the bustling Woolloongabba dining precinct. Since August 2014, the bar has been updating its menu to provide a more comprehensive selection of meals, while making the space more appealing with plush couches, rustic furniture and long tables that are great for group dining. The menu features meals such as Nepalese beef curry, grilled octopus salad, bangers and mash and Tasmanian Atlantic salmon as well as options for kids. The bar boasts 10 beers on tap and dozens more in bottled form, as well as a comprehensive wine list and cocktail menu. Sports fans will be pleased to hear that the space still has large screen TVs for those who want to keep an eye on the game.
